Both Canada and China are members of the Apostille Convention. Documents issued by Canada must be certified by the Hague before they can be used in China.
Power of attorney: real estate entrustment, bank entrustment, provident fund, pension entrustment, property entrustment, etc.
Declaration: Declaration of waiver of inheritance, certificate of singleness, notarization by the same person
Document notarization: birth certificate, death certificate, marriage certificate, divorce certificate, passport maple leaf card, no criminal record, graduation certificate, hospital certificate, bank certificate, divorce and fertility certificate, etc.
Charge standard: (5% GST plus) Full set of 150 Canadian dollars per copy, including notarization by lawyer and Hague certification, translation of the first page of Hague certification, mailed back to China (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) by UPS or DHL+SF Express (not mailed separately) or Canada Post surface mail to Canada, free translation of certain government standard documents (such as Canadian passport, maple leaf card, Alberta birth certificate, death certificate, marriage certificate, divorce certificate), time 1-2 weeks to receive in Canada, 2-3 weeks to receive in China. Hague certification users DHL or UPS mailed back to China separately: 50 Canadian dollars (3-5 working days in different cities).
